QUESTION – Thank you for taking the time to participate in the Q & A session. Before we start in detail, would you like to share with everyone, who you are, what you do, where you live and what trading room (if any) you can be found at daily?

CYNTHIA CRUZ – My name is Cynthia Cruz. I currently reside in Charlotte , NC . I am a happily married woman and mother to my two children Miguel (21) and Daisy (17). I have
been the owner of my construction and renovation company for over 20 years. I
currently run my own, small trading room consisting of about 9 people using
various trading software and services. I am also a member of TradeWithNinja’s
trading room as well as Stefanie Kammerman’s author of Dark Pools Secrets trading room. I can be reached via several social media platforms under the following names:

QUESTION – Do you trade full time? Do you have any other multiple sources of income or businesses. What got you into trading and why? What are your life goals if any?

CYNTHIA CRUZ – I am a full-time business woman and full-time trader (multiple sources of income). I instruct my employees and direct the daily operations prior to market open. I also receive a great deal of support from my children as I mold them to participate in the continuation and development of the family business. I was always interested in trading securities, but my husband is who really encouraged me to get involved in the industry. My
trading goals are primarily to develop a trading strategy that best suites my risk
tolerance, understand the global effect of the market, generate passive income to
support my family business and lastly to trade like the professionals. My life goal
is ………

QUESTION – What failure or setback in trading or life have you experienced that has set you up for later success?

CYNTHIA CRUZ – As was a large portion of the working class in the United States, my business was immensely affected by the housing market crash in 2008. This was not a failure but rather a minor setback that my husband and I experienced. Our business
suffered temporarily but began to recover after a year period. During that time,
I took to learning about the market, its different instruments and trading methods.
One of the most interesting instruments that intrigued me was options. I took this
year period to learn about options. I have been trading them ever since!

QUESTION – Outside of trading, what strange or unusual habit do you have and enjoy?

CYNTHIA CRUZ – Grabbing the Wall Street Bull’s bronze balls for good luck.

QUESTION– How would you describe your trading style? How has it evolved over time?

CYNTHIA CRUZ – My trading style can be described as “structured”, “risk-adverse” and
“emotionless”. I am not a greedy individual. I look for a trend formation, wait for
confirmation for entries and exits and I execute without hesitation. If my analysis
is incorrect, I utilize that trade as a point of reference to help avoid repeating my
mistake. One of the biggest mistakes a trader can make is let emotions get
involved, so I try my best to avoid getting emotionally vested in any of my trades.

QUESTION – Outside of trading, how do you enjoy spending your time?

CYNTHIA CRUZ – I enjoy the company of my family. I spend a lot of time outside of trading in the comfort of my home, traveling and dining with my family. We are a very tight-knit
bunch and I wouldn’t have it any other way! I also spend a lot of my leisure time
studying the markets cyclical habits, teaching others the strategies that I have
developed and mentor those who are interested in becoming a trader. One of my
first pupils was my daughter. She has become a phenomenal student in a very
short period of time, and I am proud to have been able to help her any way I can.

QUESTION – What advice would you give your younger self (both in trading & life) ?

CYNTHIA CRUZ – Do not be afraid to take risks. 100% of people who never try WILL fail 100% of the time.

QUESTION – What good & bad advice do you hear often in trading?

CYNTHIA CRUZ – One of the worst ideas that I’ve heard in the trading world is to “average down” or to go all in on a trade. That shows that there was an insignificant amount of due diligence done prior to executing the trade (with little to no risk management), and now drastic measures must be taken. These advices develop poor, almost irreparable damage for some. also its very important to set stop loss/trail stop DO NOT like the options expire worthless !

QUESTION – What are your favorite trading & non-trading books to read and why?

CYNTHIA CRUZ – Dark Pool Secrets by Stephanie Kammerman its fascinating that the dark pool exits to the contrary what people believe.

QUESTION – When you have lost your mojo or focus, what do you do to get yourself back on track?

CYNTHIA CRUZ – I take days off and it rarely happens .

QUESTION – If you could have a big billboard with your favorite saying or message on it, what would it be?

CYNTHIA CRUZ –  “It’s not a crime to get knocked down but it is a sin not to get up.”
